With the next generation comes a new set of needs and desires. While working on an Adirondack camp in transition, the existing and often original furnishings and textiles were thoughtfully considered by rearranging, refurbishing, repurposing, every effort begged what it means to be a camp. The final product honors the history both familial and personal. It welcomes light, functionality, modern amenities and few more spots for reading and for play.
Nobu barbuda
The Nobu Barbuda project started for us in the heart of Covid. In six weeks, we transformed a beach shack into a chic destination restaurant.
The project and our involvement evolved into the design of the beach club and the public areas (pool house, social club, gym, lobby) and 17 private villas.
We were confronted by the often unforgiving climate on a remote island without basic resources. Comfort, ease and elegance were married to a sense of place-making in every space.

Who doesn’t want a fully kitted out private family bar in the same building as your apartment? A place to dance, to sneak away, to gather your crew when going all the way out won’t due.

Our first collaboration was a dream project. We worked with 3 siblings to create a space that would accommodate the needs of a growing family, a space shared by individuals with different tastes and different needs. It had to be beautiful, intuitive and progressively functional.
